Medisse - Medical technology

History

Founded in 2006, Medisse BV is a Dutch life science company that develops resorbable medical implants based on proprietary technology for making PTMC networks. Medisse was incorporated in 2009 with its head office in Amersfoort, whilst sharing lab space at the University of Twente. In July 2011, Medisse moved to its new location in Leusden with its own lab space and small-scale production facilities.

It its early years, Medisse focussed on ensuring the safety and efficacy of its PTMC implants. This groundwork is an important step in the development of its innovative implantable medical devices. From its new location, the company’s focus is shifting to the commercialisation of the first products of a healthy development pipeline.
